Our Ministers and Chaplains
Our founding minister, Rev. Barbara Stevens, is a chaplain with over ten years of experience serving people who struggle with substance abuse. Her mental health experience, both with major mental illnesses and post-traumatic stress syndrome, enhances her understanding of addiction. She works as a hospital chaplain. For over seven years, she was a chaplain in a residential treatment center.
The Rev. Skip Roberts, is also a chaplain, working in a general hospital setting. He has over twenty years of sobriety, using his faith in God to sustain him through life’s ups and downs. A Presbyterian minister, he offers our Prayers to the People.
A third chaplain, the Rev. Amanda Guthrie, works as a chaplain on a residential behavior health unit. She supports us with her presence once or twice a month and helps lead our Sharing Circles.
